Litigation

Lynne R. Ostfeld believes that litigation is not an end goal but the means to the end. If all efforts to resolve problems have failed, Ms. Ostfeld is able to call on her considerable experience in successfully litigating a variety of controversies to aid her clients. She is particularly adept at being able to analyze the law and facts of a case to promote the client’s interests.

Her litigation experience has come from representing both individuals and companies, whether as plaintiff or as defendant. It includes contract interpretation and enforcement, defamation, real estate partitions, creditors’ claims in bankruptcy court, mechanic’s liens, mortgage foreclosures, employment issues, school law, copyright violations, Will and guardianship disputes, rights of beneficiaries of decedents’ estates, and local government law.

She is admitted to practice in: all courts in the State of Illinois; the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Trial Bar; the United States Court of International Trade; the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
